SUMMER HOURS (April through September): Wednesday 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. – 12 noon, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. (weather permitting)

WINTER HOURS (October through March): Wednesday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. – 12 noon, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. (weather permitting)

Compost Pile: Leaves and grass only (No Plastic bags, Garden waste, Hedge trimmings or any other foreign material will be allowed)

Brush Pile: Untreated, unpainted lumber, tree limbs only. (No plywood, cardboard, plastics, grass, leaves or any other foreign material will be allowed).

Roll-off Container: Only materials that cannot be placed in the brush pile or compost pile. Items such as: construction waste materials, plywood, cardboard, old furniture, plastics, household trash. (No leaves, grass, tree limbs or untreated – unpainted lumber)

Roll-off Fee: There is a fee for items or materials that must be placed in the roll-off container.

Metal: All metal, scrap iron, and appliances will be accepted for recycling. Appliances that contain Freon (such as refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners) must have the refrigerant removed before it will be accepted.    

 Recyclable Waste: The City of Aurora encourages you to recycle all waste that is recyclable. Please use the recycling center located at 6th and F Street for recyclable items such as cardboard, magazines, newspapers and plastics. To request a Recycling Container please contact Aurora City Hall at 402-694-6992.
